Assalamualaikum,

One hot issue in Malaysia's politic today is 'Unity Government' or UG. There are voices in support of this idea, but many disagree to have PAS and UMNO hand in hand ruling the country.

There are talks here and there saying that PAS has been trapped by UMNO by this issue. The differences between PAS top figures never been this largely gaping for quite a long time.

I have only one question: Is PAS really trapped, or is PAS the one backtrapping UMNO?

Since UMNO leaders, especially the president himself, are really excited about having a UG with PAS, they have very little space to back out now.

What if suddenly PAS came forward and claim more than half of the cabinet for PAS, PKR & DAP? What if PAS demand the Deputy Prime Minister seat be given to a Pakatan Leader? (or why not PM seat itself? hahaha, i like it!)

Two defeated heroes of PAS, Husam and Mat Sabu will not leave their PKR and DAP friends for UMNO. That is one fact that nobody can deny, not today. And these two have large crowd of supporters behind their back. Adding to that, TG Nik Aziz, himself has been clearly stating his stance on being loyal to the people's alliance.

What are PAS' options:
1) Stop everything related to UG
2) Let Nasha bring PAS down for the sake of UG
3) Take the UG offer, but bring DAP and PKR along

There is still a possibility to backfire UMNO with their own tactic. If PAS can bring DAP & PKR together, and put a claim on a large portion of the top cabinet posts, let see how UMNO will react. Let see how other BN components will react. Let see BN crumbling down by its own mortars.

Wallahu'alam
