Planning, fate and love

Whenever you feel like you can't take the scorching heat of the sun, remember that the cold snow can end you in a freezing manner.

Whenever you feel like you can't take the drought of the land, remember that rain can kill you in a flooding manner.

Whenever you feel like you can't take the gray mist, remember that it will surely vanish when the sun came, bringing the seven colors of the rainbow, decorating the majestic sky.

Whenever you feel like the fate is yours for the choosing, remember that you're the one chosen by the fate.

So then, how is the concept of fate (taqdeer) that we should accept?

Only Allah (S.W.T.) owns the the rights on our fate. Only HIM, the best of all planners. The ups and downs of our life, from the time our clock started to tick, are nothing but HIS designated planning.

We, too, have plans of our own, But our plan are not only for us, but to adapt to the master plan made by HIM for us, before our own existence.

And then, fates from all corners have chosen us, with much discrepancies and differences. More often than not, we have to accept things we never asked, for everything that happened is well-planned.

Our plan should only adapt to Allah's master plan. Not for ourselves, not only for the human eyes. But, what else other than HIS blessing?

When this life is already pre-planned and inked at the Lauh Mahfuz, why would we have a plan of our own, then? Why should we be asked to work our best? Isn't it already determined in the master plan? It is just that we do not have the knowledge of what is in there, HIS master plan.

You just need to imagine about it, if all of our fate are known from before time, what is the purpose of this life? There won't be any excitement as there would be no surprise at all. We're not going to be overjoyed by the good tides, neither would we be devastated by the crushing disasters. All because we already know what is there in our life menu. Wouldn't it be annoying to live such a life? We would never know the meaning of hardwork, the meaning of love. And surely, we'll never know the meaning of sacrifice.

And the same theory applies for love. Love emerges from the looking eyes. Love emerges from the listening ears. Love emerges from constant similarities. But love to the mighty Creator is hard to grow. Why?

Because we didn't make love into a verb. If you love someone, you can also say "I don't love him/her", because that is the nature of a verb.

The love of the companions to Allah and His messenger never know pain, exhaustion and fatigue. They carried it because of the obedience, and loyalty. Whatever asked upon them by Allah and His messenger, they answered "We hear and we obey..." (Q 2:275) and they didn't have any reason to disobey or complain.

Narrated Anas (r.a.): The Prophet (S.A.W.) said "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind."
(Bukhari, #14, book of Faith)
Umar ibn al-Khattab (r.a.) once told the messenger of Allah (S.A.W.): "O messenger of Allah! I love you more than anyone else except myself"
The messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) replies"O Umar! Your Iman is not complete until your love for me is more than your love for any human, including yourself"
Umar (r.a.) said: O messenger of Allah! Now I love you more than I love myself"
The messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: "Now, O Umar! Now O Umar!"

Verily, that is the meaning of love as defined by a companion of the Prophet (S.A.W.). Because love that should be claimed in this world is not the 'feeling of love', but the 'work of love'. Love is already the king in the heart, where its throne lies. Our job is to work out that love and put it in motion.

Yes, love is really beautiful if you can work on it :)
